Fractional COO + Project Manager
Easy Scaling® | Part-Time to Full-Time | Remote (EST hours, Agency Hours- 9 AM - 5 PM)
About Easy Scaling:
At Easy Scaling®, we help online coaches and course creators scale their businesses sustainably, without burning out. Our team of vetted experts, including fractional COOs, is dedicated to delivering high-level strategy, operational support, and execution that allow our clients to grow with ease. We pride ourselves on a culture of excellence, heart, and true partnership — and we’re looking for a skilled, heart-led COO to help us deliver a premium client experience across our retainer and project-based services.
About the Role:
As a Fractional COO + Project Manager, you’ll serve as the strategic and operational partner for your assigned clients. You’ll lead with vision, but roll up your sleeves to manage the details. You’ll be the main point of contact for your clients, guiding them through both big-picture business strategy and day-to-day implementation. Internally, you’ll oversee cross-functional teams, manage client timelines in ClickUp, and ensure we consistently deliver work that exceeds expectations.
This role requires a rare mix of strategic thinking, operational excellence, project management, and client-facing leadership. You must be able to confidently guide high-level business decisions while keeping projects organized, contractors informed, and clients delighted.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the client relationship and act as the main point of contact for all assigned accounts
- Deliver high-level business strategy around marketing, funnels, systems, scaling, and operations
- Develop 90-day strategic plans that align with client goals and scope of work
- Manage timelines, tasks, and contractors inside ClickUp to ensure deadlines are met and work stays within scope
- Oversee the delivery of all client work — ensuring everything meets Easy Scaling’s standard of excellence
- Perform project QA, offer strategic feedback, and serve as a bridge between strategy and execution
- Monitor team hours, deliver weekly/monthly client reports, and make strategic scope adjustments as needed
- Coordinate with the Director of Strategy and internal team on project planning, priorities, and process improvements
- Track client metrics and KPIs to ensure our work is having the desired impact
- Support implementation as needed (including reviewing and refining assets, setting up systems, and managing tools)
Time Commitment + Communication Expectations:
- While this role offers flexibility, availability during EST business hours is important to support clients and collaborate with the team
- Core internal communication hours are 9 AM–5 PM EST, with an expected Slack response time of within 2 business hours
- Participation in key meetings is required, including:
- Kickoff calls for your assigned clients
- Biweekly client check-in calls
- The monthly all-team meeting
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of experience in online business strategy, project management, or operations (COO or OBM background preferred)
- Ability to confidently guide clients through offers, funnels, systems, and scaling strategies
- Strong communication and leadership skills — you know how to build trust and manage up, down, and across teams
- A proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools (bonus if you’re the one organizing the workspace)
- Comfort with a wide variety of tools and platforms, including:
- Kajabi
- Kartra
- Squarespace
- Airtable
- Zapier
- GHL (GoHighLevel)
- WordPress
- Circle
- ClickUp
- and other client-facing and backend business tools
- Ability to manage multiple clients and a team of 20+ contractors with clarity and grace
- Comfortable giving feedback, facilitating decisions, and stepping into ownership of project outcomes
Nice-to-Haves:
- Background in tech setup or system integration
- Experience designing or QA’ing assets (landing pages, sales pages, graphics, etc.)
- Familiarity with online group coaching programs, freebie funnels, affiliate strategy, or PR pitching
- Understanding of metrics and KPI tracking for online business growth
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
- A values-driven team that leads with empathy, excellence, and humor
- The ability to make a real impact in small, scaling businesses
- Freedom to do your best work — with systems that support your success
- Long-term growth opportunities and the chance to grow into a full-time role
- A fully remote, flexible role aligned with your zone of genius
Compensation:
- Up to $4,000 per month part time with the ability to grow into a full time role
- Part-time to start with the potential to transition to full-time
